Mohammed attends Newmarket races

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the July racing festival at Newmarket Racecourse in England today.

The race meeting was also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, senior officials and a large gathering of racing enthusiasts.

Sheikh Hamdan's Corsica trained by Mark Johnston and ridden by Frankie Dettori took the honours in the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy run over 2,660 metres.

Earlier, Neebras earned Godolphin stable a second place finish in the July Stakes, while Elzaam owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum landed came in third.
